amok gravex - a review
The horrifying portrait of a man gone mad, Rubyacht's "Amok GraveX" is sure
to put chills down the spines of every red blooded American f, as well as
those who ever entertained the thought of striking up a conversation with
GraveX on IRC. It is the little known, rarely mentioned, but historically accurate
representation of what REALLY happened during The Fire That Ate New Orleans.
GraveX's hoplessness and despair are made painfully evident through Rubyacht's calliopian
attention to historical detail. The famous rant, where GraveX reveals the source
of his despondency, is brought to life with the help of a skillful, and generous,
use of punctuation and capital letters.
A quick survey of the scenery reveals a city that is littered with corpses,
victims of GraveX's wrath. In the background, the searing flames are engulfing the city.
One cannot help but think of the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah, the biblical city which was destroyed
because the residents had forsaken God. Here, the residents of New Orleans have cruelly
and consistently rejected GraveX, and are now paying the ultimate price: their lives.
(detail)
As ironic as it might seem, the message of this illustration is not completely one of
death, no! There is the distinct message of hope and unity. What befell New
Orleans does not have to befall every city that GraveX visits! As long as he is
provided with a steady stream of pics, and his asinine behaviour is generally tolerated,
GraveX will remain relatively well adjusted, and not resort again to the annihilation of another
metropolitan area. It is a task that we must all undertake, together, for it
is only then that we will prevail. We must not follow in the path of sin. For in Jude 1:11 was it not said: "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." The same fate will befall us if we are not wise.
In closing, I applaud you Rubyacht, for this monumental and
progressive lesson in civics. Well done.
